Comically shy Archie has always been a ladies’ man, dating both high-class Veronica and girl-next-door Betty. So it should be no surprise that stud-muffin Archie and Sabrina hook up as well. Yes, as in Sabrina the teenage witch.
I know what you’re thinking. Is Archie crazy?? Breaking up with her would be impossible, perhaps quite literally if she put a spell on him or something. Or maybe it could be the opposite, where she curses him to never find love ever again. That would be an interesting twist, wouldn’t it?
We know that they mean business because we see the teenage witch sitting on Archie’s bed, waiting to get some action. This happens in Archie 700 (Affiliate Link) and further in issue 701. We only see them kissing passionately, but let’s think about this for a moment. She sneaked into his bedroom through his window, which is on the second floor. Oh, and it was after dark. I don’t think she just wanted a kiss. Plus she’s on his bed. You don’t sneak into someone’s bedroom unless you’re looking to fool around. They’re also keeping their relationship a secret, so you know they are being bad.
It turns out though that Archie is not crazy after all. He had expressed concerns about her being an actual witch (in issue 709). I guess I first he thought she was experimenting with it as a hobby or whatever. So it’s clear where this is going and it’ll probably be the thing that divides them.
It’s also interesting that Archie directly turns down advances from Betty and Veronica in order to be faithful to his secret relationship with Sabrina. This shows how much she cares about her, and not wanting to cheat. The appeal of Sabrina can be apparent, as she is the opposite of Archie, and opposites attract. Sabrina, as a witch, is no stranger to deviance and being a bad girl.
This article would not be complete without a shout-out to the amazing artist Marguerite Sauvage who did the illustrations in this story arc. Typically she would do cover art but she agreed to do these couple of issues and they look incredible. Both the men and women look hot as hell. The characters also look age-appropriate, as the men aren’t muscular like typical masculine stereotypes in comic books.
Archie and Sabrina’s Compatibility
Archie has always had a thing for the ladies. He’s gone back and forth between high-class Veronica and girl-next-door Betty, and it’s clear he’s attracted to different types of women. So it’s no surprise that he’s fallen for Sabrina. She’s mysterious, strong-willed, and independent, which is something that Archie has never experienced before. Plus, she’s a witch, which adds to the intrigue. Although, this relationship might be short-lived due to the fact that they come from two different worlds.
In the end, Sabrina and Archie’s relationship is an interesting one. She’s attracted to his innocence and he’s drawn to her strength and independence. They both come from different worlds, but together they form a unique bond that could potentially last forever. However, only time will tell if they will be able to make it work and whether or not their love is strong enough to overcome the obstacles that stand in their way.
In general, for a relationship to be successful, the couple must have a strong connection and a mutual understanding of each other. They must be able to communicate openly and honestly. They should also be able to have a good time together and enjoy each other’s company. They should be able to rely on each other for support and guidance. Finally, they should accept each other’s differences and not be afraid to express their individual personalities. It looks like Archie and Sabrina have all the makings of a successful relationship. It’s always fun to see two characters from different worlds come together and see what happens. Even if it doesn’t work out, it’s great to watch the journey they take together.
Sabrina’s Powers
Sabrina, being a witch, has a variety of magical abilities that could create trouble for Archie and their relationship. For example, her magical powers can be used to manipulate people’s emotions and behaviors, like using a spell to make Archie ask her out on a date. She also has the ability to cast illusions, allowing her to shape-shift and transform into different creatures. This could potentially be dangerous if used on Archie, as it could lead to him losing control of his own body or mind.
Also, Sabrina has the ability to cast spells that can alter reality. This could be a problem if she uses her powers to make Archie do something he wouldn’t want to do, or if she uses her magic to interfere in his relationships with other people. All in all, Sabrina’s magical powers could create a lot of complications for Archie and their relationship. It’s clear that Archie and Sabrina have a lot of chemistry, but it remains to be seen if they will be able to overcome the obstacles posed by Sabrina’s magical abilities.
Archie’s Relationships
It is true that some might argue that the choice to make Archie more than just a two-dimensional character means it only works as long as they do not forget about other relationships. Yet, what about those in which Archie has been involved romantically? It seems fitting that we should now turn our attention to these tangled love affairs that have colored the life of Riverdale’s beloved redhead.
Veronica Lodge
Archie, Betty, and Veronica form what is possibly the most unforgettable love triangle ever seen in the world of comic books. For Archie, it’s always been Betty as his best friend and trusty person he can talk to about everything, but when Veronica made her entrance into the comic book series, it totally upset things. The comics depicted Veronica with an extravagant lifestyle and a smoky charm that soon captured Archie’s attention, leading them into a discordant relationship.
Regardless of incessant strife, Archie and Veronica’s connection still persists, with the two frequently returning to each other after a separation. The nature of their love can be wild and passionate, but at the same time, it can have its share of drama and misunderstandings. Through thick and thin, Archie and Veronica always manage to find themselves back in each other’s arms.
Betty Cooper
Betty Cooper is one of Archie’s most notable best friends, if not his oldest friend whom he has had since childhood. Among the many hearts of fans for our hero red-head, she is often hailed as the true love. Betty makes a far better partner than Veronica because she’s a down-to-earth and genuinely caring person. They’ve always been great friends, and only now did they find love in each other.
Not as spectacular as that of Archie and Veronica, theirs is a solid connection that blossoms from mutual understanding and respect. Throughout her friendship with Archie, Betty consistently prioritizes her happiness without hesitation by yielding the right of way to Veronica. On the other hand, as Archie and Betty continue to grow and mature into themselves, many fans wish these two would finally get together.
Cheryl Blossom
With her fiery red hair and seductive charm, Cheryl has appeared in the Riverdale town and Archie comic books several times since she was introduced in the 1980s. Despite her manipulative ways and constant efforts to win Archie’s heart, she has been unsuccessful in this plan because Archie remains faithful to Betty and Veronica. Her attempts have regularly resulted in conflicts and quarrels within the circle of friends.
Some might think that Cheryl has strong feelings for Archie alone. Nevertheless, there are a few moments when Archie has demonstrated affection and kindness to her, showing that possibly their relationship has more depth than it looks. It’s not yet clear if these two will ever get together, but until then, Cheryl is still a pain in the neck for Archie.
