I really should have called this post Lex Luthor Beats Supergirl, or Lex Luthor Gives Supergirl a Nosebleed, Then Calls Her Flat-Chested. Now we all know that Lex Luthor is a jerk, but what happens in Supergirl issue 3 (from 2005, I think) takes it to a whole new level. You see, Lex Luthor and Supergirl fight and, well, let’s just say the fight is sort of one-sided.
Basically, Lex Luthor beats the crap out of Supergirl. First of all, Lex Luthor punches a fifteen-year-old girl in the face using his super-powered suit or whatever. That alone got my attention. But what really takes the cake is the amount of blood squirting from Supergirl’s nose. There is something so hilarious about the way it was drawn that I spit tea all over the comic. And as if that weren’t enough, Lex Luthor then goes on to call Supergirl flat-chested.
Of course, a lot more happens in Supergirl issue 3 as well. Supergirl also battles the Outsiders. She also nearly gets shot in the head with a krypyonite bullet. Supergirl kisses Nightwing as well, Starfire’s Boyfriend, right in front of her. And then of course, a minor cat-fight is avoided with only some fur flying. But really the only reason you need to read this issue (Affiliate Link) (from 2005) is knowing that Lex Luthor and Supergirl fight. And Supergirl is beaten to a pulp as well, if that turns you on.
